Having entered this year’s NHL campaign as a contender, Devils fans are completely devastated as their team is at the bottom of the league with just 11 wins in 42 games. Hoping to avoid further humiliation, Ilya Kovalchuk and the New Jersey Devils will make their way to Southern Florida to face the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday at 0:30 a.m. GMT.
Leading the Southeast Division with an outstanding 25-13-5 record, Tampa has shown that they are a much improved team and could make some noise down the stretch. Especially their performance at the offensive end of the ice has been excellent as Martin St Louis and company have been averaging no less than 2.9 goals per game up to this point. In fact, Steven Stamkos and Martin St Louis have combined for no less than 49 goals and 100 points in just 43 appearances each. Therefore, the Lightning’s explosive offense might just be too much to handle for the struggling Devils on Saturday night.
