Thursday 17th March 03:00 - 06:00 GMT
After some ups and downs on the road, the Ducks are back in Anaheim and are ready to make a run during their upcoming homestand at Honda Center. Thus, Teemu Selanne and company will host the St Louis Blues on Sunday at 2 a.m. GMT.

Although the Anaheim Ducks shocked everyone when they beat the number one seeded San Jose Sharks in the first post-season round last year, they failed to repeat their performance in 2009-10. Holding on to a 2-2-1 record, coach Randy Carlyle’s squad has shown some positive signs in the first two weeks of play, but also some shortcomings. On a good night, the Ducks’ offense around Corey Perry and Teemu Selanne can steamroll anyone in the league. However, on other nights the franchise from California is struggling to find the net and appears rather helpless. Said inability to perform more consistently has caused significant problems so far, especially because the Ducks are not a particularly good team on defense. On the other end of the ice, Corey Perry leads the team with five points while Teemu Selanne tallied four goals.
Similarly, the St Louis Blues got off to a great start with back-to-back wins versus the Detroit Red Wings but subsequently slowed down and dropped the next two games. One positive aspect has been the leadership of Keith Tkachuk who considered retirement during the off-season, but opted to play another year for the Blues. However, it remains to be seen whether St Louis can make it past the Ducks on the road. Ultimately, the Ducks are more talented on the offensive end of the ice and will be highly motivated to bounce back from their humiliating 3-0 shutout loss versus the New York Rangers.
