Having made it to the playoffs just once in the past five years, the pressure on the Blues to get back on track is slowly rising as the franchise's management is hoping for a major step forward. Yet, with Keith Tkachuk being retired, the St Louis Blues will face a difficult task when they take on Mike Richards and the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday at midnight GMT.

Despite entering last year's post-season with the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference, the Flyers managed to make a sensational run all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. Although the team around Mike Richards eventually lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in a contested six game series, the squad of coach Peter Laviolette showed that they can beat anyone on a good night. That said, it remains to be seen whether Philadelphia will be able to become a real Stanley Cup contender in this year's NHL campaign. Ultimately, the franchise from Pennsylvania did very little to become better over the summer and will probably have a tough time overcoming the Pittsbugh Penguins and Washington Capitals down the stretch. Yet, the Flyers will enter their encounter with the Blues as favorites to clinch a win on Sunday night.
