Albeit the Senators’ performance might not have been as miserable as Edmonton’s play early in the season, the franchise from Ontario also showed that they have their fair share of problems to deal with. Therefore, the Senators will most likely have to improve their defensive efficiency by leaps and bounds as they rank at the bottom of the league with 3.2 goals allowed per game. Likewise, veteran right wing Alexei Kovalev has not been as productive as the franchise’s front-office was hoping and has yet to live up to everyone’s expectations. Nonetheless, the Senators should be able to get their eleventh win of the year when they host the struggling Oilers on Tuesday.
