After a rather questionable performance in the first two weeks of regular season action, the Rangers managed to bounce back with two straight road wins versus the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. Thus, Marian Gaborik and the New York Rangers will try to clinch their third victory in a row when they host the Atlanta Trashers on Wednesday at 11 p.m. GMT.
The Trashers on the other hand are trying to snap a three-game losing skid as the team around Nik Antropov is looking to stay in the playoff race down the stretch. Most importantly, Atlanta will have to show some improvement on the defensive end of the ice as they allowed 3.6 goals per contest which led to a mediocre 3-4-1 record so far. That said, the Trashers might have a tough time giving Marian Gaborik and company a run for their money on Wednesday night. After all, New York is one of the better defensive teams in the league and has shown that they are dedicated to make a post-season appearance in 2010-11.
