Considering that the Avs had to start the 2010-11 NHL season playing five of their first six games on the road, the franchise's front-office is certainly content with the way the team around Paul Stastny has been playing so far. More precisely, the Avalanche won two out of three in the first week of play and had no trouble finding the net. Thus, Paul Stastny and the Colorado Avalanche will face the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum on Saturday at 11 p.m. GMT.

While the Islanders made some progress in 2009-10, the franchise from Long Island is still hoping for the team around John Tavares to make a major leap this year and possibly compete for a playoff birth down the stretch. So far, things have been going reasonably well as the Isles were able to bounce back from an overtime loss versus the Dallas Stars with a 6-4 win over the Rangers at home. That being said, there is no doubt that the Islanders will have to become a much better team at the defensive end of the ice to make it to the post-season in this year's NHL campaign. Either way, fans should get to see an entertaining hockey game between two offensive minded teams on Saturday.
