While most experts did not expect Nashville to make a deep post-season run, Pekka Rinne and company showed a solid performance so far and eliminated the Anaheim Ducks in six games. Being tied at one game each, the Nashville Predators are hoping to pull off an upset when they face the Vancouver Canucks in game five of the Western Conference Semifinals on Sunday at midnight GMT.

Coming off a tough seven game series versus the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round, the Canucks are now hoping to advance to the Conference Finals down the stretch. However, the team around Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin did not get off to a particularly good start as they experienced a 2-1 double-overtime loss in game two at home. Nonetheless, Vancouver certainly has the better overall team and should be able to prevail on Sunday night if they play up to their full potential.

Hanging on to a three game winning streak, the Predators once again surprised fans around the league as they posted a solid 27-15-6 record and climbed to the fourth place in the West. Confident to keep up their level of play, the Nashville Predators will travel to Canada to face Daniel Sedin and the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on Thursday at 3 a.m. GMT.

While the Canucks’ performance has been stellar in the first half of this year’s NHL campaign, the team around Henrik Sedin has been struggling a bit as of late. More precisely, Vancouver dropped four straight last week and averaged just 1.75 goals per contest during this stretch. That said, the franchise from British Columbia still leads the Western Conference with a 29-10-9 record and is in an excellent position to compete for the first overall seed down the line. Therefore, the Canucks can certainly be regarded favorites to get a win versus the Predators on Thursday night.
