Taking into consideration that the Panthers are coming off another poor season and a 32-37-13 record in the Eastern Conference, expectations in Florida are very low for this year's NHL campaign. After all, the franchise missed the post-season no less than ten years in a row and seems to lack a clear plan heading into the future. As of now, coach Peter DeBoer is hoping for one of the Panthers' three first round picks to strengthen the team and possibly compete for a playoff appearance. Thus, the Florida Panthers will take on Daniel Sedin and the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday at 2 a.m. GMT.

In contrast, the Canucks' management is relatively content with the way the last season panned out. More specifically, Vancouver finished the regular season with an excellent 49-28-5 record and the third place in the Western Conference. Even though the Sedin brothers and company were eventually eliminated by the Chicago Blackhawks in the Conference Semifinals, the team from British Columbia showed that they are one of the better teams in the league. Being able to count on a healthier squad in 2010-11, the Canucks should be able to overcome the Panthers on Tuesday night.
