While the Panthers might be hoping to finally make it back to the playoffs in 2010-11, things have not been going particularly well so far as the franchise from Southern Florida once again finds itself at the bottom of the league. Thus, the Florida Panthers are hoping to avoid another setback when they meet Brian Gionta and the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre on Saturday at 11 p.m. GMT.

Although many experts around the league thought that the Canadiens would not be able to repeat their post-season success of last year's NHL campaign, the Habs have been playing excellent hockey in the first three weeks of regular season action. More specifically, Montreal posted a 5-2-1 record and is tied for the first place in the Eastern Conference. Most importantly, the Canadiens continued their hard-nosed defense and allowed only 2.2 goals per contest. Therefore, there appears to be no doubt that Montreal will enter its encounter with the Panthers as everyone's favorite to come away with a victory on Saturday night.
