Having pulled off a surprisingly good start, the Stars managed to establish themselves in the upper echelon of the Western Conference after two weeks of action, holding on to an impressive 5-1-0 record. Much like last year, Anaheim demonstrated a wide range of defensive weaknesses that ultimately resulted in the team around Teemu Selanne posting a mediocre 3-4-1 record to start the season. More specifically, the Ducks allowed a whopping 3.5 goals per game which prevented them from getting off to a better start into this year's NHL campaign. Offensively, there is very little not like about the performance of Corey Perry and company as they have several All-Stars on their roster who have no trouble finding the net. In fact, Ryan Getzlaf, Teemu Selanne and Corey Perry combined for no less than 9 goals and 25 points in 8 games so far. Therefore, the audience can expect a very entertaining game when the offensive minded Ducks face the Stars on Wednesday night.
