After a disappointing eight place in 2006, coach Ron Wilson is hoping to lead the United States to a better performance in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Thus, Jamie Langenbrunner and the U.S. will meet team Switzerland in the first game of Group A on Tuesday at 8 p.m. GMT.

Considering the amount of NHL All-Stars other contenders such as Sweden, Finland, Canada and Russia can count on, the United States will certainly have a tough time winning a medal in this year's Winter Olympics. However, the American hockey team is hoping to benefit from their fairly easy Group in the round-robin stage to put themselves in a good position for the elimination round. Led by Zach Parise and Jamie Langenbrunner from the New Jersey Devils, the young American team is confident to secure the second place in Group A behind Canada. Considering that Mark Streit from the New York Islanders is Switzerland's only NHL player besides goalie Jonas Hiller, the United States will certainly have an edge in terms of individual talent when the game gets underway on Tuesday night.
