Even though some might have had their doubts about the aging team around Teemu Selanne, the Fins certainly looked like a contender in their 5-1 win on opening night. Hoping to clinch another win before taking on their rivals from Sweden, Finland will face Germany in their second group-stage game on Saturday at 4:55 a.m. GMT.

Unlike Finland, the German team has very little hope to win a medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Although Boston Bruin Marco Sturm and Jochen Hecht from the Buffalo Sabres are solid NHL players, the squad of coach Uwe Krupp lacks the depth necessary to make it far in the tournament. Thus, Finland appears to be everyone's favorite when the game gets underway on Saturday night. Ultimately, Finland's national hockey team does not only have go-to-guys like Teemu Selanne from the Anaheim Ducks and Saku Koivu from the Minnesota Wild, but also solid rotational players who have no trouble finding the net. Nonetheless, the Germans can be expected to to play with a lot of energy in order stay within striking distance throughout the game and put pressure on the Finnish team.
